A specialized workshop dedicated to Research Data Management (RDM) in the Humanities was held with guest expert Eva Ommert from Leipzig University on November 17, 2026. The event aimed to support researchers in developing effective strategies for handling, documenting, and preserving research data throughout the entire research lifecycle.
Eva Ommert, an experienced research data specialist, provided insights into best practices for data organization, metadata standards, FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), and long-term archiving. Participants will learn how to navigate the challenges of diverse data formats typical of humanities research—ranging from textual corpora and audiovisual materials to digitized archival sources.
