Lena Sophie Voss studied German Literature and Linguistics and Roman Studies at the University of Leipzig and Aix-Marseille Université. For her Master’s she specialized on German Jewish Literature at the University of Leipzig and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During a semester abroad at the HUJI she attended courses of Jewish History, German Literature and Holocaust Studies. Alongside her studies she published two articles on Jewish authors who wrote in German and lived in Prague. These publications were part of the Prague-Project, a bilateral exchange between the Karls University of Prague and the University of Leipzig under the supervision of Ilse Nagelschmidt and Viera Glosíkova.

Research Project

  • To Change, Question, and Criticize – Concepts of a ‘Werk’ and Concepts of Objects in Illustrated Magazines in Berlin and Vienna during the 1920s.
