Academic CV

Studied Slavonic Studies at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and Ashkenazic Studies during a semester abroad at the University of Haifa which was supported by a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Completed her MA degree in Eastern European Cultural Studies (on Jewish Studies) at the University of Potsdam in 2024 with a thesis on Mark Zhitnitskii’s Gulag testimony. Spoke on his artistic activities on the Shoah at the conferences Art of the Holocaust until 1989. Beyond an East/West Divide in Budapest (2022) and Representations of the Holocaust in Fine Arts within the Eastern Bloc from 1945 until the End of the 1960s in Berlin (2023).

  • History and culture of Eastern European Jewry
